The Brief History of Ahrenn

Ahrenn was born and raised in the Drakhovan Forest, in a small, secluded, wood elf village near the forest's center. The young half elf used to frolick through the woods, and chase wild animals for his everyday fun. Forty years passed as the half elf did this, till nothing. not even the small insects could lose him. He had become a tracker, almost by sheer nature. Ahrenn had searched the forest inside and out for the elusive Green Dragon that supposedly lived there, and to this day still curses the thing. It was the only thing that he had never found a trace of. His forest elders swore up and down that it exhisted, when Ahrenn came crashing in trying to prove that Dragons must have been something of legend. "Why would such a brilliant creature hide itself?" Ahrenn spat at them, and they never had an answer. Being half elf, half human, Ahrenn had always been far to curious about legends and the outside world. Four times he had been punished for venturing outside the forest, and the elders were becoming impatient. The fifth time Ahrenn was caught, the Order of the Shining Moon, which his forest brother lead, crashed down upon him. Swords drawn with violent intent, Ahrenn had realized this was something he couldn't live through, and ran.

Sixty years had passed since that day he ran, and it was far from important in Ahrenns mind. He had been thrown into a war that split a nation in two. The friends he had made had all disagreed amongst themselves when the war broke out, and had gone their separate ways. Ahrenn's makeshift world, and family had collapsed for a second time. It was close to the first time the half elf truly felt hate towards anything. He hated 'hate' itself, and had watched it tear everything he held dear apart. Those years were dark for Ahrenn, and he plunged into darkness, rising up in ranks as he slaughtered men with his Oakwood bow. His skills with a bow were remarkable, although he hadn't mastered it yet, he was far better than the average human. Being one of the few elves that left the forest, his eye's were sharper, his ears more keen than the rest of the human men. Ahrenn's skill didn't go unnoticed, as the man who lead the war chose Ahrenn to be his personal guard.

A year had passed, and Ahrenn had been serving under the general of the army. A good man, who spoke of honor, freedom, and the right to live free. One day, while walking through the halls of Generals home, patrolling as he usually did, he heard muffled screams, and pleads to stop. Ahrenn rushed to the scene, only to find the General he held in such high regard, raping two young girls that he had been keeping as slaves to his lustfull desires. In a fit of rage, Ahrenn drew his sword, and thrust it through the mans back. His hate finally boiling over as he cut the man to peices. Ahrenn stood over the man he had just killed, blood soaked his clothes and splattered on his face. Ahrenn didn't know how he appeared to the two young girls, but when he reached over to try to help them they screamed. They were more afraid of what Ahrenn had done and had become, than the desires of the general. Something in Ahrenn snapped that day, as he ran for a second time. He felt as though the hate, and anger he had harbored slowly fading away, leaving something brilliant.

Ahrenn found himself standing before Eldarus, trying to find someone he had been chasing for the past four years. A bright smile across his face as he waited, weary and exhausted from his travels. Something was different in the half elf, something that made his smile genuine, and unique to most around him. Ahrenn turned and chuckled, raising his hand to shield his eyes from the cold wind, looking towards a new beggining.

I'll have more whenever I can. I have his history written somewhere at my home in Pennsylvania. Too hard for me to remember the details of a 212 year old elf. Haha.
