Name: Lathe Dex
Age: 120
Race: Elf
Appearance: 5'5'', long black hair, black eyes, fair skin.
History:
Lathe's story is more unusual then most. He was born in a future time, far past the current age, when magic and the like have long since died out, becoming nothing more then childhood stories and fairy tails. He has a half brother, a half elf named Aftorn. They were both barely contributing to society, performing menial jobs, and getting drunk at night.
One night, while stumbling through the woods drunk, they came upon a woman. She invited them to have a drink, which they were more then , happy to accept. The drink started to make them feel strange, and the woman began to chant in a strange language. She told them there was something she wanted, something that no longer existed, and that if they found it, she would bring them back. In a flash of light, they vanished. When they woke up, they were in a world that they thought only existed in myth. Transported back in time by ancient magic, they found themselves in a new world. The journey back had some effects on them, and they quickly found they had slight mastery over basic combat maneuvers, and they both trained and honed their skills. They decided that this world was more fun, a new place to live in, where they were more then just random people, they were going to do something with their lives.
Lathe and Aftorn eventually split up, each going their own way. Aftorn was drawn to the seas, while lathe practiced with his blade, and eventually forged an innate connection to the shadow plane. This enables him to jump between shadows. He has also gained the ability to call forth an elemental shadow, as well as a shade undead, although he is still unsure how he has gained control over the shade, it not being native to the shadow plane. He normally only calls forth the elemental, using the shade only in extreme emergencies, as he is not thrilled about using undead.
In addition to training with a sword, Lathe has trained extensively with the longbow, it being his preferred weapon over his elven blade. His sword is pitch black, and seems to shimmer as if being seen through a puddle. It has the same type of handle as a rapier, but the blade is slightly thicker then a standard rapier.
