Lich attack in the Market Place

In the late evening early morning hours of 05-Aug-912 the Lich known as Acheron Drakkar initiated and unprovoked and massively devastating attack on the city market place, just before the late night shops were closing down, members of the city guard responded immediately to the scene and confronted the Lich. during said confrontation a battle broke out between the guard and the Lich. Massive destruction incurred to the market and prior to the arrival of officials the lich had claimed the lives of a currently undetermined number of citizens indiscriminately of their social status. the Lich did manage to summon a demonic dragon and shadow demon through its dark magics but through the heroic and fearless efforts of the guards on scene these creatures were destroyed. Upon the loss of its minions the lich retreated but not before leaving notice with the guard in a taunting and threatening manner as to where he could be found. official reports are still being written on this matter and members of the guard are refusing comment while this matter is being handled. Lieutenant Kalanaere acting in the stead of Captain Foxcrown whom is away from the city on official duties of the crown has ordered the market place be sealed off completely both by physical means and with the erection of a magical barrier constructed by mages on the guard staff. Messengers were immediately dispatched to the Regent requesting his personal mages to assist in strengthening the barrier, a messenger to Captain Scythe of the Rangers requesting Ranger assistance in the handling of this matter do to its extreme nature and wide reaching affects, and a messenger to locate Captain Foxcrown to advise him of the issue..

All questions are to be directed to Lieutenant Kalanaere at this time pending the return of Captain Foxcrown.

The first on the scene was Sgt Shizukesa who noted a circle of roughly fifteen people dead around the lich Acheron. He engaged him in battle shifting to his true form to fight as Kardagar and lastly Lt Kalanaere joined the fray. While Kardagar fought the demon Ebony valiantly Kalanaere focused her main assault on the lich himself as Shizukesa battled the skeletal dragon. By the time the dragon and demon were called back and the lich fled he had been damaged, leaving behind one of his arms..

In the Late Night/Early morning hours of Sunday August 22nd 912 ; the City Guard officially declared the market place to be safe for occupants to traverse about their business yet again. Special notices were nailed to the doors of all merchants of the city so that they are aware that they are free to being conducting business again along with a reminder that if the need to speak to Captain Foxcrown or request an assembly with the Regent in order to be reimbursed for damages done int he Lich attack. After lengthy discussion all personall artifacts that could be recovered were done so and carefully documented. It was a difficult decision to make but do to the nature of the opponent that assaulted the city market all corpses were removed to an undisclosed location where they were therby incinerated by members of the Royal Mages to prevent reanimation. All persons shall at the decree of Captain Foxcrown recieve proper burial headstones and notices at the expense of the city; Family members of said persons are requested to contact the captain in regards to said request and also to claim any personal artifacts that would have been recovered from the scene.

When the light dawns on the market, the people aside from noticing that all guards and barriers are gone shall also notice that construction on the rebuilding of damaged buildigns is still underway but it was deemed business could continue.
