PostSubject: Gabriel Faith   Gabriel Faith Icon_minitimeTue Mar 09, 2010 4:10 am

Edit: January 21st, 2013: Profile revamp. Really doesn't seem to fit the way he is at the moment. Besides some details are best learned firsthand, rather than be told off the start.

Name: Gabriel Faith

Nicknames: "Gabby", "Gab"

Titles: "The Eternal Wanderer", "Lord of the Castle of Darkness", "Knight-Errant of Oak Shield", "The Twilight Knight"

Alignment: Lawful Neutral (Lawful Good tendencies)

Height: 6'2"

Weight: Around 180 lbs.

Distinguishing Features: None

Body Modifications: None

Age: Immortal; Approximately several centuries or more, estimated to be close to a thousand or two due to time spent in the Void.

Affiliations:
Former Oak Shield member
Former Baal Wars veteran
Former Void specter
Former Vassal of the Kingdom of Salamander

Physical Appearance:
Gabriel's appearance resembles a man within his late twenties to early thirties. His complexion is unnaturally pale but nowhere as lifeless as a corpse. Short raven black locks of hair trail down his head, stopping short of his eyebrows. Both his eyes are full, dark brown, and seem almost black in depth. His feature are smooth, a sharp nose above a thin pair of lips, matched by a sharp chin. There is an emptiness to his gaze, seemingly detached from his surroundings in general.

His attire comes mainly in the form of a large flowing black cloak, stopping short of his ankles. From time to time, one may catch a glimpse of his clothing underneath, which primarily composes of a tight fitting black shirt, a matching vest, a belt and several pouches and a pair of tight fitting trousers. Even more rarely seen, one may see the longsword attached to his hip, a beautiful but aged weapon with a beautifully crafted hilt. The only other visible clothing are his footwear, a simple pair of tall black boots made of leather, and a pair of black leather gloves. Often he is seen with his hood drawn over his head, masking his features from observation, perhaps even for posterity's sake.

History & Background:

There are those in the realm that are neither bound by law nor by divinity, instead left to shape their own destiny by will and by the nature of their heart. These individuals are ultimately doomed to wander the earth, their true purpose known only to themselves. Some say these wanderers are kept alive by fate itself, destined towards great events. Others say that they are like swords without sheathes, free to shape the world as they see fit. They are rarely seen and even more rarely trifled with. Due to their nature, the arrival of such wanderers often mark the coming of changes, often leading them to witness some of the greatest and most cataclysmic events of their time. Few if any tend to stay in one place for very long, for it is said their true calling comes from the call of paths both known to men and those forgotten long ago.

The wanderer carries little more possessions other than what they can carry and the clothes on their back. The history of them remains relatively unknown though they vary from exiled lords to fallen champions, each a hero of another story. Their appearance and motives vary from one to another. Some see them as a savior silhouetted in the horizon, others a force of nature passing through. Like ghosts, a wanderer can arrive and disappear without warning, leaving nothing more than a memory in their place. It is considered extraordinarily rare for a wanderer to stall in one location for any length of time.

It is said that the wanderer leads a lonely existence, few can manage to suffer the extremities of the road for long. They are cursed to abandon or destroy their companions, losing them either to time or circumstance alone. The wanderer is said to win every fight but one, and in that one, they die. However, even death cannot contain their restless nature and it is said that they carry on to places beyond time and space. Each of them live on through stories and legend, kept alive amongst the ranks of heroes and pariahs long before them.

So see this now, see it very well...

...a lone wanderer dressed in ebony, blanketed under the sea of stars. He speaks gently, and few words at a time, he speaks of lost kingdoms and forgotten names. His appearance is like that of a shadow, vanishing in the glimpse of an eye. See him now, a lone wanderer, traveling beneath the sea of stars and across places both at peace and at strife. See him clearly...

...as he enters Eldarus.
