To be clear . . .

I just want to make some things clear in light of some recent comments and/or arguments (the sources of which will remain nameless as the point is not about who said it).

The admins and I have put a great deal of effort into the rules we have on this site. We have worked to make them fair. We have endeavored to make most of them guidelines to accomplish things rather than restrictions of what you can not do (though some of them end up that way by necessity). All of these are done in the best interests of the site and for fairness all around.

I am the first to admit that we are far from flawless, but we do our best. If there are site rules that you don't agree with, think are unfair, unbalanced, or in some other way bad for the site, we encourage, nay implore you to tell us so. One of the functions of the forum is to be a discussion place for these issues. Please communicate with us in this fashion. We will always take opinions into consideration and make the decision we think is best for the site overall. Please, when doing so, try to have suggestions for a better method rather than just complaints. Sometimes the new information may change the rules, and sometimes it will not, but in the end we have to do what we think is best.

That said, we have the rules for a reason and they are to be followed until changed. It is your responsibility to know the rules and follow them, that is why they are publicly posted here. Every player has the right to point out when the rules are violated against them and attacking someone for using that right is not okay.

Eldarus is a game and the intent is to have fun. Let's keep that in mind when situations arise.
